Invite and manage event co-hosts
Co-hosts let you share one event, a whole series, or a single date of a series with someone outside your team. They get their own limited-access workspace and never see your other events, your dashboard, or your team settings. Sending the invitation and managing access starts from the event's Co-hosts button, and the host team must be on a paid plan for co-host access to be active.
Before you start
Team owners and admins can add and remove co-hosts. Other roles cannot.
Your team must be on a paid plan. Co-hosts do not use a team seat.
Have the co-host's email address ready. Invitations are sent by email.
Invite a co-host
Invitations are sent from the event you want to share. A co-host can be invited to a single event, a whole series, or one date in a series.
Open the event and click Co-hosts in the event header.
Enter the co-host's email address.
Choose Can edit or View only.
If you are sharing a series date, choose whether access covers This date or Every date in this series.
Send the invitation. The co-host accepts the invitation from the email, or signs up if they do not have an account yet.
Co-hosts who already have an Eventually account sign in and find shared events on their Your events page. New co-hosts sign up through the invitation.
What Can edit and View only allow
Both access levels see the shared event's pages and can export that event's attendee CSV. The difference is who can make changes.
A Can edit co-host can, for the events shared with them:
Edit event details and dates, ticket types, registration questions, images, and waivers.
See attendees and their registration answers.
Check guests in.
Email that event's attendees: broadcasts, resend confirmation, ticket links, waiver requests and reminders, and waitlist offers.
A View only co-host sees the same event pages and can export the attendee CSV, but cannot make changes.
Some actions stay with your team no matter which level you choose: refunds, cancelling registrations or orders, moving or transferring attendees, publishing, unpublishing, cancelling, deleting, or restoring events, access codes, pre-sales, and Event Series pass pricing.
Share one date or every date in a series
When you invite a co-host to a date in a series, you choose the scope: This date shares only that single date, and Every date in this series shares the whole series. Use This date when someone only helps run one session.
A single-date co-host gets that date's roster, check-in, attendee emails, export, and editing of that date's details. Series-wide settings stay with your team: tickets, prices, registration questions, images, and waivers are edited in the series editor, not by a single-date co-host.
For more on how series dates work, see Create and manage a Multiple Dates series.
What co-hosts see
A co-host's navigation shows only the events shared with them, under Your events, plus their own user settings. They do not see your team's other events, your dashboard, Insights, Attendees, Customize, Communications, Settings, Team, billing, or integrations.
Co-hosts cannot create new events on your team and cannot access your Squarespace panel. If a co-host has no shared events, their page shows "You're not co-hosting any events right now" with a Start your own events option, which creates their own Free team.
Co-host access is separate from team membership: co-hosts do not use a team seat and do not get the roles described in Roles and permissions. To give someone access to everything, invite them as a team member instead; see Inviting team members.
Event notifications for co-hosts
Active co-hosts can receive event-specific notifications for the events shared with them: new orders, capacity, waitlist, and oversold notifications. They only arrive if the co-host's own notification toggles are on.
Notification preferences are per user, not per team. If a co-host changes a toggle while working on your team as a co-host, that change also applies to their notifications on their other team.
Manage co-host access
You can resend an invitation or remove a co-host from the same Co-hosts dialog you used to invite them. Removing a co-host takes away their access to that event.
For a team-wide view, go to Settings > Company. A co-hosts card there lists each co-host and the events they are shared on.
Paid plan requirement
Co-host access is active only while your team is on a paid plan. If your team moves to Free, existing co-host grants are kept but disabled, and co-hosts regain access when the team is back on a paid plan.
