Duplicating an event

Duplicating an event copies its details, ticket types, and settings into a new draft. You can set fresh dates and adjust any details before publishing.

How to duplicate an event

  1. Navigate to Events in your Eventually dashboard.

  2. Click the event you want to copy.

  3. On the event detail page, click the Duplicate button (two overlapping squares icon).

  1. Eventually creates a new draft event with the same settings. Review the copied details and update the title or dates if needed.

  2. Publish the event when ready.

What gets copied

The new draft keeps the original event's setup:

  • Title, description, and location

  • Categories, tags, and images

  • Ticket types with their pricing and capacity limits

  • Custom registration fields

What starts fresh

A few details are always reset on the copy:

  • Dates and times — you choose new ones for the copied event

  • Attendee list — the new event has no registrations

If you duplicate a recurring event, the copy starts as a one-time draft. You'll see the note: "This will duplicate the first event — you'll need to set up additional occurrences." To make it repeating again, open the new event and set up the recurrence schedule before publishing.
