About Event Series
An Event Series sells every session of a recurring series as one purchase: a series ticket seats the buyer in every session, with optional per-session drop-ins. A series can offer more than one series ticket type, and all tiers share the Event Series capacity.
What an Event Series is
An Event Series turns a recurring series into a single sellable product. A series ticket covers every session in the series, so the buyer registers once instead of once per date. Each series ticket takes one seat in every session of the series.
You can optionally allow drop-ins: individually sold seats for single sessions, priced per session. Drop-ins sell only from the seats each session has left after series-ticket holders, so drop-in availability differs by date.
Series-ticket sales close when the first session starts. After that, only per-session drop-ins for later sessions can sell, while inventory remains.
A series ticket cannot include add-on or virtual ticket tiers.
An Event Series is a good fit for a multi-week league, course, or class run: anywhere the same group meets across several dates and most attendees come every time.
How an Event Series differs from a recurring event
On an ordinary recurring event, each session appears separately on your calendar and attendees register for individual dates. An Event Series is configured on the first date of the series and sells one ticket that covers all of its sessions.
Use a plain recurring event when attendees pick and choose which dates to attend. Use an Event Series when most attendees come to every session and you want to sell the whole run at once.
Who can sell an Event Series
Event Series is available on the Pro and Ambassador plans, and setting one up requires an owner or admin.
Setup happens on the first date of an eligible recurring series. A series ticket cannot be created after the first session has started.
