Waitlists for sold-out events
When an event reaches its capacity, you can enable a waitlist to capture interest from attendees who weren't able to register in time. Waitlists let you manage demand and automatically fill spots if registrations open up.
Enable a waitlist
Turn the waitlist on per event, or set a team default so new events start with one. The Turn on the waitlist for new events default on the Event Defaults page is available on the Essentials plan and above. New events inherit it, and an explicit per-event waitlist setting overrides the default.
What guests receive after joining
After a successful signup, the guest receives a branded confirmation email explaining that they are on the waitlist and will be emailed if a spot opens.
Guests no longer see a personal queue position after joining. An aggregate waitlist count can still appear on the event page and widget.
Host signup notifications
Team members can opt in to a Waitlist Signups alert under Notification preferences to be emailed when someone joins the waitlist. Each member enables it independently, and the alert reports who joined and the current number of people waiting.
