Understanding your plan and feature access
Eventually uses plan-based feature access, so certain tools and options are tied to your subscription level. Your plan determines which features are available in your workspace. If you try to use a feature that isn't included in your plan, you'll see a message: This feature requires a plan upgrade.
Plan tiers
Eventually offers four main plans, each with increasing feature access:
Free — Core features including data export, QR tickets, Squarespace checkout, discount codes, calendar invites, and the embeddable calendar widget.
Essentials — Everything in Free, plus paid ticket sales, multiple ticket types, recurring event series, waitlists, custom registration fields, custom email templates, AI-assisted setup, and removal of Eventually branding.
Growth — Everything in Essentials, plus the Klaviyo and Kit integrations, outbound webhooks, access codes for ticket types, week view, and connecting an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT to your account.
Pro — Everything in Growth, plus timed ticket release, priority support, personal onboarding, and migration support. Pro also removes the limits on active events and attendees.
Features are cumulative: each higher tier includes everything from the tiers below it. For prices and limits, see Billing and plans.
Demo mode
When you create a new team, your account starts in demo mode. You can build and publish events to preview your setup, but registrations, branded emails, and integrations stay off until you go live.
When you are ready to open your events to attendees, choose a plan or select Continue on Free, then click Go live. After going live, your account moves to its assigned plan tier and full feature access begins. If you pay by ACH Direct Debit, your plan activates as soon as the payment is initiated, before the bank transfer fully settles. If the payment fails, your plan reverts to Free. See Go live with your account for step-by-step instructions.
Features not included in your plan will show the message: This feature requires a plan upgrade.
How feature gating works
Some features are visible or hidden based on your plan. For example:
Paid ticket sales require the Essentials tier or higher.
Waitlists for sold-out events require the Essentials tier or higher.
Sort & filter controls in the calendar widget require the Essentials tier or higher.
Custom email templates in the Communications section require the Essentials tier or higher.
AI assistant connections require the Growth tier or higher.
Timed ticket release requires the Pro tier.
When you try to access a gated feature that isn't on your plan, you're redirected to your billing settings where you can upgrade.
View your current plan
Your plan and included features are visible in Settings:
