Managing Your Account

Reseller purchase and lifecycle emails

When you purchase a Squarespace site or domain through Eventually, you automatically receive a set of lifecycle emails that guide you through activation, renewal, and expiration. These emails are sent from [email protected], use Squarespace’s official reseller transactional template family, and are fully automatic. They only apply to reseller purchases, not to general event-ticketing emails.

Email overview

Each email tells you what happened, what to do next, and which button to click. The exact wording depends on whether you purchased a domain only, a website only, or both.

Order confirmation

The order confirmation email is sent immediately after you complete a reseller purchase. The heading is Activate your Squarespace Account for a website or bundle, or Activate your Squarespace Domains Account for a domain-only purchase. The hidden preheader reads “Log in to start managing your domain and website,” “Log in to start managing your domain,” or “Log in to start managing your website,” depending on what you bought.

  • Domain purchases: The email includes the Avoid Domain Suspension block, which warns that Squarespace must suspend the domain if you do not confirm your contact information within 15 days.

  • Website purchases: The email notes that billing for the site is managed through Eventually, so payment changes should be made in your Eventually account.

  • Bundle purchases: The email combines both notes and lists the domain and website together.

Activation reminder

If you do not activate your Squarespace account within 5 days of purchase, a single reminder email is sent automatically. The subject line is [Action required] Reminder to activate your Squarespace account. Click the LOG IN button to complete activation.

Expiration notice

When a domain or website expires but can still be restored, you receive one expiration notice email. The subject line is [Action required] Your domain has expired or [Action required] Your website has expired. The email shows the expiration date and a RENEW YOUR DOMAIN or RENEW YOUR WEBSITE button that returns you to the reseller subscriptions page.

Renewal emails

Before and after each renewal charge, you may receive up to four emails:

  • Heads-up: Sent before the charge runs, naming the renewal date and the card that will be charged. Use the Manage renewal button to swap cards or cancel.

  • Receipt: Sent after a successful charge, confirming the amount and the card used.

  • Payment failed: Sent when the charge fails, with a link back to the reseller subscriptions page so you can update your payment method.

  • Lapsing: Sent when retry attempts are exhausted and the product is about to expire. It warns you of the expiration date and includes a Renew now button.

Branding and sender

All reseller lifecycle emails are sent from [email protected]. Replies reach the Eventually support team. The email layout and sign-off structure match the Squarespace reseller transactional template family, but the header currently shows a plain Eventually wordmark. The co-branded “Eventually × Squarespace” lockup is a designed asset that requires Squarespace approval before it can be used.
