QR-code tickets
Coming soon: This article will explain how QR codes work for event tickets from the attendee's perspective — including how they're delivered, what information they contain, and how to display them on your phone or print them for check-in.
What this article will cover
How attendees receive QR codes — Confirmation emails, ticket links, and where to find your QR code
What's in a QR code — The data encoded and how it links to your registration
Displaying your ticket — Using your phone, printing a physical copy, or saving to your device
Check-in experience — What happens when staff scan your QR code at the door
In the meantime
For event organizers looking to check in attendees using QR codes, see Using QR code check-in for the complete check-in workflow.
Looking for your ticket QR code? Check your confirmation email from Eventually — it contains a unique QR code linked to your registration. You can present it on your phone or print it for check-in.
Old ticket links and QR codes may not work
Ticket links and QR codes now use secure, harder-to-guess codes instead of simple registration numbers. This helps protect attendee details, but older saved links or bookmarks may no longer work.
If an attendee's old link or QR code won't open, ask the organizer to resend the confirmation email, which includes the updated secure ticket link.
For event organizers, see Resending a confirmation email to send an updated link.
