Attendee Management

Remove a guest from your roster

You can permanently remove a registration from an event's guest list directly in the event guest drawer. Non-active registrations — pending, cancelled, or refunded — can be removed by any team member. Active paid registrations can only be removed by an owner or admin, and require typing the attendee's email as confirmation. After removal, you stay on the event guest list and the seat is freed immediately.

Open the guest drawer

The guest drawer is the primary place you manage per-attendee actions on an event.

  1. Open the event in your Eventually dashboard.

  2. Go to the Guests tab.

  3. Click the guest's name to open the guest drawer.

  4. Click Remove from roster.

Remove a non-active registration

Any team member can clear an Incomplete, Cancelled, or Refunded row without special permission.

  1. In the guest drawer, click Remove from roster.

  2. The modal explains that this takes the registration off the roster for good and returns any held seat to inventory.

  3. Click Remove from roster in the modal to confirm, or click Keep to cancel.

The drawer closes and you return to the event guest list.

Remove an active paid registration

An active Registered seat requires extra authorization.

  1. In the guest drawer, click Remove from roster.

  2. The modal explains that this is an active registration and asks you to type the attendee's email as confirmation.

  3. Type the email exactly as shown in the Type [email] to confirm prompt.

  4. Click Remove from roster to confirm.

If the email is missing or does not match, the field shows Enter the attendee's email to confirm removal. Team members who are not owners or admins see Only an owner or admin can remove an active registration.

What the status badges mean

The guest drawer shows a status badge for every guest:

  • Registered — a completed active registration.

  • Incomplete — a pending registration that was started but not finished.

  • Refunded — a registration that was refunded.

  • Cancelled — a registration that was cancelled.

  • Checked in — the guest has already been checked in at the door.

The badge shows whether the row is active or non-active so you can choose the right action. Removing an Incomplete or Refunded row is operational cleanup that requires only a confirmation. Removing an active Registered row requires owner or admin access and an email confirmation.

Removing a guest from the roster is not the same as cancelling a registration or processing a refund. Removal permanently deletes the record and frees the seat. If you need to refund a paid attendee, process the refund separately in Squarespace Commerce before removing the guest from the roster.
