Check in walk-in guests

When an attendee arrives without a ticket or prior registration, add them as a guest from your event dashboard and check them in immediately.

Add the walk-in from the door

  1. Open the event in your Eventually dashboard.

  2. Go to the Guests section.

  3. Click Add Guest to open the registration panel.

  4. Enter the walk-in's details:

    • Full Name

    • Email Address

    • Ticket Type — Choose the appropriate option if your event has multiple ticket types.

  5. Fill out any required custom registration fields.

  6. Click Register Attendee to add the guest to your roster.

To register several walk-ins at once, switch to Paste list mode. Enter one guest per line as Name, Email, select the ticket type, and click Add N guest(s). Lines without a valid email are skipped automatically.

Check them in from the roster

Newly added guests appear in the Guests list right away. To mark the walk-in as present:

  1. Go to the Check-in tab on your event dashboard.

  2. Search for the guest by name or email.

  3. Press Enter to check them in.

If the search finds exactly one match, pressing Enter marks them checked in automatically and clears the field for the next guest.

At capacity events

If your event is at capacity, a warning appears: This event is at capacity. Adding an attendee will exceed the limit. You can still proceed if you choose to oversell.
