Cancelling a registration
Cancel an individual attendee's registration from their attendee record to free the seat. Cancelling does not refund the order and does not automatically promote a waitlisted guest.
Cancel a registration
Open the event in your Eventually dashboard and scroll to the Guests section.
Click the attendee whose registration you want to cancel.
In the attendee detail modal, click Cancel Registration.
Confirm the cancellation in the modal.
The modal states: "Are you sure you want to cancel this registration? This action cannot be undone."
What changes when you cancel
The attendee's status changes to Cancelled.
The seat is freed, so the event capacity increases by one.
The attendee may receive a cancellation notification.
Cancellation is not a refund
Cancelling a registration changes the attendee's status; it does not process a payment refund. Click Refund on the same attendee record if you also need to refund the order through Squarespace Commerce. Read more in Issuing refunds.
Cancellation is not roster removal
Cancelling keeps the record in your guest list with a Cancelled status. If you want to permanently delete the record, click Remove from roster instead. Read more in Remove a guest from your roster.
