Connect Kit
Connect Kit to sync attendee registrations, event activity, and paid purchases to your Kit account. Once connected, you can tag subscribers by event and use that data for email segmentation and follow-up sequences.
Before you start
You need a Kit account. You can connect with OAuth for the fastest setup, or use an API key if you prefer. The Send paid registrations to Kit Commerce option only works with OAuth connections; if you want to track purchases, use Connect with Kit instead of an API key.
Integrations are available on paid Eventually plans. If you don't see the integration options described here, you may need to upgrade your plan. See Understanding your plan and feature access to learn which features are included in each plan.
Connect Kit
Go to Settings in your Eventually dashboard.
Select Integrations.
Click the Kit card.
Choose your connection method:
Connect with Kit — Use OAuth. You'll sign in to Kit and authorize Eventually.
Have an API key instead? — Toggle this option and enter your Kit API Key (starts with
kit_). Then click Test connection to verify, and click Connect to save.
Once connected, the card shows a CONNECTED or CONNECTED VIA OAUTH status badge.
Tag subscribers on these events
After connecting, choose which event types Eventually sends to Kit as subscriber tags. Enable the events you want to track:
New registration — Someone registers for an event.
Attendee info completed — An attendee finishes their registration details.
Registration refunded — A registration is refunded.
Attendee checked in — Someone checks in at the event.
Registration moved — A registration is moved to a different event or time slot.
Registration exchanged — A registration is exchanged for a different ticket type.
Registration transferred — A registration is transferred to a different attendee.
Joined waitlist — Someone joins an event's waitlist.
Use these tags in Kit to build segments, trigger automations, and follow up based on event activity.
Send paid registrations to Kit Commerce
Enable Send paid registrations to Kit Commerce to record purchases as Kit Commerce events. This option is only available when you connect via OAuth. If you need to use this feature and you are currently connected with an API key, disconnect and reconnect with Connect with Kit (OAuth).
Show a marketing opt-in on registration
Enable Show marketing opt-in checkbox on registration forms to ask attendees for consent before they are tagged as subscribers in Kit. Attendees who check the box are eligible for syncing; if the checkbox is off, no attendee data is sent to Kit.
Customize the checkbox text in the Checkbox label field. The default message is "I'd like to receive marketing emails" — edit this to match your brand voice.
Disconnect Kit
To remove the integration, click Disconnect on the Kit card. You'll see a confirmation message: "Disconnect Kit? Future events won't sync." Confirm to disconnect. Existing tags and subscriber data remain in Kit, but new event activity will no longer be sent.
